Rabbits

Why we make rabbit health a priority

Rabbits are the UK’s third most popular pet1 and the phenomena of ‘house rabbit’ ownership is soaring2.

MSD Animal Health knows that the bond owners develop with these intelligent, fun, characterful pets can be strong and that’s why keeping our pet rabbits healthy is a priority.

Whether they live in the home or outside, the UK’s estimated 1 million pet rabbits2 have different healthcare needs at each life stage.

Working with veterinary surgeons and nurses, MSD Animal Health can offer animal health professionals and rabbit owners a wide range of veterinary pharmaceuticals, vaccines and health management tools.

These include offering protection against diseases such as Myxomatosis or Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD) through vaccination.

To safeguard health and wellbeing and protect them from potentially fatal disease, we suggest rabbit owners take their animals to the vet for annual vaccinations and regular health checks. If you have any concerns regarding your rabbit, always consult a veterinary healthcare professional.
